 Bead Setting:

This intensive one day class covers preparation and use of a graver, burs and beading tools. One will learn to layout stones, drill, bur, seat and bead-raise. This bead setting technique incorporates setting small stones flush into the surface of metal and setting with beads of metal. Please bring any jewelry pieces or stones you would like to practice on or incorporate this technique into. Cubic zirconiums and copper will be provided for practice.

  • Mushroom head wood graver handle
  • Grobet N14 Engraver (from Zak Tools) or GlenSteel Square Graver (from RioGrande*recommended).
  • Ring clamp 
    • 10x loop 
    • 2,3mm ball burs (1 each) 
    • 2,3,4mm setting burs (2 each) 
    • 1.5mm drill bits (2 each) 
    • 1mm drill bits (2 each) 
    • Optional: Optivisor, bead tool handle, bead tool Swiss set 24, and
